Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles

This semi-homemade recipe is made using store bought cookie dough. However, if the chef desires to make everything from scratch, check the version of Cookie Dough Truffles on the Food Network website.

Ingredients:

  • 1 roll of store bought, pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 1/2 pounds of dark chocolate candy coating bark, melted
  • 1/2 pound of white chocolate candy coating bark, melted (optional)

Directions:

  1. Ball 1" in diameter cookie dough balls. Place on a greased cookie sheet and chill in the fridge for at least two hours.
  2. Dipped chilled balls in the melted dark chocolate bark. Place on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet and chill balls again for at least one hour.
  3. If desired, after that step, balls can be half dipped in white chocolate or drizzled with the white chocolate for a decorative effect. Chill again for one hour if step 3 is utilized.
  4. Store in air tight containers in the fridge for up to three months or in the freezer for up to six months.

More Fun and Easy No Bake Recipe Ideas

Create a fun day in the kitchen with kids by making several different kinds of no bake cookies and treats. Consider making a batch of traditional rice krispie treats, and after they have set up, dip the squares in dipping chocolate or drizzle chocolate on top. For a more adult version of rice krispie treats, coat the bottom of the greased glass dish with a layer of melted chocolate. Then top it with warm peanut butter. Press in the rice krispie treats in the dish and let it all set. When set, top it off with a final layer of melted chocolate on top.

Another fun and easy no bake recipe is a traditional southern no bake orange ball. These little refrigerated cookie dough balls are made using vanilla wafers, orange juice and powdered sugar. The final product is then rolled in coconut or powdered sugar.
